AI Chatbot & Conversational AI Developer

About This Role

Giggrabbers is seeking an AI Chatbot & Conversational AI Developer to build customer-support bots, retrieval-augmented (RAG) assistants, and on-site AI agents for our network of clients. This is a freelance position delivering one of the most in-demand, business-ready AI services — from conversation design to grounded, reliable production deployments.

The ideal candidate can ground an assistant in a client's own content, connect it to the right systems, and ship a bot that's genuinely helpful and safe rather than a gimmick.

Responsibilities

• Build customer-support chatbots and RAG assistants grounded in client knowledge bases
• Integrate assistants with websites, CRMs, helpdesks, and messaging channels
• Design conversation flows, fallbacks, and escalation-to-human handoffs
• Implement retrieval pipelines and vector search to reduce hallucinations
• Test, evaluate, and tune assistants for accuracy, tone, and safety
• Deploy, monitor, and iterate on bots using analytics and user feedback
• Add guardrails and content filtering to keep responses on-brand and appropriate

Qualifications

• Portfolio of chatbots or conversational AI projects shipped to real users
• Hands-on experience with the OpenAI or Anthropic API and a framework like LangChain
• Experience with RAG and at least one vector database (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
• Proficiency in Python or Node.js, plus REST APIs and webhooks
• Understanding of conversation design and prompt engineering
• Strong communication and the ability to gather requirements from non-technical clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platforms like Dialogflow, Voiceflow, or Botpress
• Voice / IVR or multilingual assistant experience
• Knowledge of evaluation tooling and guardrail frameworks
