Cybersecurity Specialist

About This Role

Giggrabbers is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to provide expert security services to our network of clients — from vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to compliance advisory and incident response planning. This is a freelance position with strong and growing demand as organizations across all sectors prioritize protecting their digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across web applications, networks, and cloud environments
• Identify, analyze, and document security weaknesses with clear risk ratings and prioritized remediation plans
• Review code, infrastructure configurations, and access controls for security gaps
• Support clients with compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA
• Develop and deliver security awareness training tailored to client teams and risk profiles
• Advise on security architecture, identity and access management, and incident response procedures
• Monitor threat intelligence and apply findings to proactively strengthen client defenses

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in offensive and/or defensive security roles with documented outcomes
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools: Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, or equivalent
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10, CVE classification, and industry security frameworks (NIST, CIS)
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Relevant certifications strongly preferred: CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP
