My name is Matthew Dylan Foster and I would love to have the opportunity to blow your socks off, roll your eyes wide - like depth of mind - blown wide open, no dessert, check please and thank you.
I write to move minds into emotion, responding physically to the impact my self-championed eloquence in phrasing can bring without advance warning. One moment your reading and everything is fine and welcoming, same words different phrasing, another day at the desk. Words written any way are words like any other. Expressing a message, not to be read into too deeply - when at its very core, thats what we should be doing more of...
Paying attention to the subtle and subliminal wordsmiths at play in and on almost every product or place of business running anything resembling profitable quarters and annual dividends payouts. The ability to lay hold to the gray matter in charge of decision making and taking its free will to evaluate a products worth in our daily lives, and making it slave to the sale - without it ever being questioned.
"What was that?" you ask under your breath, as the chill bumps begin to form goose pimples on the follicles of hair now standing upright across your body.
You suddenly pause, mouse gripped like a glock, finger mid-click to trigger the scroll. Inside you feel your heart begin to beat slighty faster and a little off rhythm, as your chest begins to get tight and your breaths become shallow. You stare at the screen somewhat perplexed, wondering if anyone has yet noticed the way your frozen. Literally stuck.
On what, you cannot pinpoint at the moment. Your mind is the racing as you re-trace the sentences leading up to your present immobility. Wondering what it was that you read, what it was that I wrote, to make you so involuntarily fixated on that amazing rush of butterflies flitting within and the intoxication of originality your under the influence of. You begin again, from the top - needing to feel sure you haven't missed anything; context, phrasing, keys to a codex - is it hidden in plain sight, or is it anywhere other than your mind, blown and rolled - like your eyes... wide... Opened.
And you saw that it was a moment like you first heard your favorite song play. All those years ago dancing as a child with little to no regard that the memory and sensation the song created would so many years later be how you would equate the way reading my words made you feel that day...
Words. Phrased in such a way to grab the reader from the opening sentence and leave them in a state of intoxicated voca-brewry, high on the feast the mind is having.
On second thought...
Dessert sounds delicious. I'll take 2 to go please.
