About Erick
For the past three years I have engaged myself extensively in writing news in the digital
environment. I have worked for two of Kenya’s top media houses namely Citizen Tv and TUKO
Media, a global company that focuses on dissemination of news in the digital sphere. My years
in these two companies have exposed me to the digital environment in terms of news writing and
dissemination of news to the audience on the social media platforms. I believe with these years
of experience I am ready to take up another challenge.
Most importantly, I have been able to understand how to share and manage social media
audience by tailoring content that not only meets their needs but also engage the audience.
Moreover, my service in this role has given me an opportunity to explore and understand key
policies for major social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Most importantly,
I am confident with the technicalities on the management of social media account for both
business enterprises and at individual level. In addition, I have undergone a series of courses
mainly focusing on equipping social media managers with appropriate skills and fact check tools
to help in fighting fake news and misinformation in the much-crowded social media world. I
believe these skills are very essential for any communication role in the digital world.
Besides my concentration in the media field, I have also engaged extensively in academic
research writing. As a research assistant I have written in different fields including but not
limited to nursing, medicine and healthcare. I have written in different writing styles and
analyzing data using different tools. I have several testimonials in this regard and if you may
need them I am very ready to share.
