About Mesbah
Mesbah is a recent college grad (read 'broke' college grad) trying to make it in New York City as a filmmaker/docu-journalist. Please hire him for gigs, connect him to peeps, and thus join the long list of people that he is going to thank at the Oscars.
He discovered filmmaking by accident when he was a second-year International Relations student at Georgetown University. That story is so bizarre and convoluted that it's best saved for when he meets you in person (part of it involves seeing Kevin Spacey in a dream, so you can only imagine).
Mesbah embarked on a whirlwind journey that saw him make more than two dozen films (including two features), organize two red-carpet premieres, fundraise over $85K, and earn a scholarship to study film in London. He did all of this in just two years. Though humankind hasn't had the good fortune of watching celestial bodies come into existence in the cosmos, thankfully due to this video, you can now see how a star is born.
He also completed his IR degree, which at the very least means that he is likely to beat you in a game of Sporcle about the world's capitals. His academic background and his international origin give him a global perspective that informs and enriches the stories he chooses to tell.
