About Laura
What makes me unique: I am a bilingual Canadian woman with a Masters Degree living in Santiago, Chile. Beyond my identity, I am an empathetic individual who cares immensely about the people, things, and projects close to me. I am an expert problem solver, and I enjoy new tasks. I become very focused and emotionally invested in my work. I am a motivated individual, and excel at new challenges. I pride myself with being a ¨straight shooter¨. Straightforward and open lines of communication are always my policy.
During my academic and professional career I have participated in many different aspects of research, including conducting fieldwork, navigating databases to find pertinent materials, analyzing data, as well as preparing reports and presentations of findings. I have managed research projects and presentations independently, as well as have collaborated in team efforts. I am passionate about learning and understanding the ¨why¨s and the ¨how¨s, which is why I am an effective researcher.
